Nicolette Quintero has been passionate about the arts from a very young age. Born in Melrose Park, Illinois, she began dancing at the age of three and has not stopped since.
Nicolette grew up in Weston, FL and attended Cypress Bay High School. There she was given many opportunities to perform, student direct, and choreograph. Over the years, she has been trained in tap, ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz, and hip-hop.
Nicolette graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a minor in Business Administration! Her passion for performing paired with her love for math allowed Nicolette to excel in many areas of the University, such as being on the Dean's List for the College of Arts and Humanities from her first semester to her last.
Nicolette was most recently was on the 1st Broadway National Tour of Tootsie. She was in the Ensemble and covered the role of Sandy Lester, which she had the opportunity to premier in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Smith’s Center! Along with performing regionally around the United States, Nicolette can also be found choreographing and teaching dance at different theaters and studios around in Florida. She recently was the remount choreographer of the national tour of Click, Clack, Moo.
Nicolette made her regional director/choreographer debut with the world premiere of A Big Day for Baseball: A Magic Tree House Adventure at Orlando Shakes earlier this year. She is also the director/choreographer the currently national tour of Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System! Nicolette has a passion for the creative, detail-oriented side of things. She believes that being a leader in the room comes a great sense of responsibility, always striving to create a collaborative, safe space for actors. She firmly believes that the best work comes when directors lead with phrases such as, “What happens if we…?”. She is an advocate for cultivating positive rehearsal spaces that allow for mistakes and playfulness.
She loves weightlifting/working out and holds her certification as a Group Fitness Instructor from ACE Fitness. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, working out, outdoorsy adventures, and baking almost anything her friends are willing to eat! She cannot wait to marry her best friend in March of 2024! A Zodiac and Nespresso Aficionado.
